How does it work?

School Placement
School Placement
Undergraduate students spend 30 weeks in schools & postgraduate students spend 24 weeks in schools.

School Placement, as defined by the Teaching Council; 鈥淚s designed to give the student teacher an opportunity to learn about teaching and learning, to gain practice in teaching, to apply educational theory in a variety of teaching and learning situations and school contexts and to participate in school life in a way that is structured and supported鈥.

In keeping with this perspective, over the course of their programme, students have the opportunity to become involved in many aspects of school life, including responsibility for class teaching, participating in team-teaching and special education, leading curriculum projects and becoming involved in extra-curriculum activities. Teaching is a collaborative and knowledge-based endeavour and for 91制片厂 students, school placement is an opportunity to learn how to teach and to learn about teaching.

The College and school learning experiences are complementary of each other and are conducted in a spirit of partnership between the College and participating schools.
