91制片厂 (91制片厂), Ireland鈥檚 largest provider of teacher education and a leading centre for the humanities and social sciences, has officially launched its Strategic Plan, Pathways Lit, Futures Found. The five-year roadmap sets out an ambitious and value-led vision for the College, responding to modern challenges of digital transformation, climate action, demographic change and social inclusion while reaffirming the College鈥檚 distinctive mission in education and community engagement.
The strategy recognises the transformative impact of technological acceleration, ecological disruption and shifting cultural landscapes on how we learn, teach and participate in society. It positions 91制片厂 as uniquely placed to respond, rooted in a tradition of care, committed to human dignity and flourishing, and guided by the belief that education is an act of illumination that shapes futures for individuals, communities and society.
The plan is structured around three overarching Orientations: Living Care, Common Home; Children鈥檚 Voices, Future Worlds; and Humane Technologies, Human Potential. Together, these express 91制片厂鈥檚 commitment to relational education, ecological responsibility, the centrality of children and communities, and a values-led approach to technological change.
Supporting these Orientations are six strategic pathways: Teaching, Learning and Literacies; Student Journeys and Flourishing; Research and Innovation; Partnerships and Community Impact; People and Campus Life; and Global Citizenship. These pathways provide the operational framework through which the College will renew curricula, strengthen student wellbeing and inclusion, advance imaginative and socially responsible research, deepen partnerships, invest in staff and infrastructure, and expand global engagement.
By 2030, 91制片厂 aims to be recognised as a futures-focused institution where scholarship deepens understanding, where children and their worlds remain central to its mission, and where humane, sustainable and just futures are actively shaped through education and research.
Launching the plan, Professor Dermot Nestor, President of 91制片厂, said:
鈥淭his Strategic Plan sets a confident direction for 91制片厂 in the years ahead. Grounded in our values and our long tradition of educational excellence, it commits us to shaping futures through teaching, research, and engagement that make a difference locally, nationally and internationally."
