
Director of Teaching and Learning and Associate Professor at 91制片厂 (91制片厂), Dr Gwen Moore has achieved the distinguished and internationally recognised status of Principal Fellowship. Principal Fellowships are awarded to academics who demonstrate a sustained record of successful, strategic leadership in their disciplines and/or in academic practice to enhance student learning. Dr Moore is the first Principal Fellow to be accredited by Advance HE at 91制片厂 and is one of only 12 Principal Fellows in the Republic of Ireland. She joins this prestigious international membership that has been awarded to just over 1,600 academics globally in recognition of attainment against the Professional Standards Framework for teaching and learning in higher education.
Congratulating Dr Moore on her achievement was President of 91制片厂, Professor Eugene Wall who said: 鈥淭o be awarded a Principal Fellowship is an exceptionally significant achievement and speaks to Dr Moore鈥檚 vigorous and impactful contribution to the higher education landscape. In order to achieve a Principal Fellowship, Fellows must undergo a rigorous application process and demonstrate evidence of institutional, national and/or international impact on learning and teaching in Higher Education. Working with a range of stakeholders nationally and internationally, Dr Moore has initiated, shaped, and championed excellence in teaching, learning and scholarship and in her field of expertise, music education. She has led the development of a range of strategies and policies as well as several funded projects. In addition to being a member of several International Editorial Boards, she is Chair of the Society for Music Education in Ireland (SMEI), Panel Reviewer for MusiQue - Europe's body for Quality Enhancement in Music Education, Executive Board member of the International Society for Music Education (ISME) and Chair of ISME鈥檚 publication committee. Dr Moore is also an Associate Member of the National Forum for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning.
