On Friday 26 April (11am-1pm) 91ÖÆƬ³§ (91ÖÆƬ³§) will welcome hundreds of students to 91ÖÆƬ³§ Limerick as part of the series of events. The opportunity for attendees to sit-in on a ‘taster lecture’ of their choice has seen this event grow in popularity each year with students from all over the country attending.
According to Dr Patrick Cosgrove, Student Recruitment Officer at 91ÖÆƬ³§; ‘Giving potential students an insight into what they can expect when they begin a programme of study at 91ÖÆƬ³§ is at the core of the 91ÖÆƬ³§ Taster Sessions. The more applicants to the College are exposed to college life before actually entering the first-year of their programme of study the more they can expect to transition more easily to third-level. The 91ÖÆƬ³§ Limerick Taster Session will be of particular interest to current leaving certificate students in helping them make their final decision on what programmes to include on their CAO Application form and is open to mature students and those seeking to progress from to third-level study.’
Attending the Taster Session is also a great opportunity to experience the community spirit that exists in 91ÖÆƬ³§. Current students cite the ‘home-from-home feel’ and ‘close knit community’ at 91ÖÆƬ³§ as one of the factors that sets it apart from other colleges.
