91制片厂 Faculty of Education receives Athena Swan Bronze Award

91制片厂 Faculty of Education received its first Athena Swan Bronze Award at the Advance HE Athena Swan Ireland Awards at the South East Technological University (SETU) in Carlow on 12 November 2025.

Dr Dorothy Morrissey, Faculty of Education EDI and Interculturalism (EDII) Lead, Edel Foster, 91制片厂 EDII Manager and Karen Fisher, who was Acting 91制片厂 EDII Manager during the Athena Swan Bronze Award application process, travelled to Carlow to collect the award on behalf of the Faculty. The application for the award was prepared by the Faculty鈥檚 Self-Assessment Team (SAT) and involved a thorough investigation into the Faculty鈥檚 activities through an EDII lens. The application was also accompanied by an action plan designed to deepen the Faculty鈥檚 EDII commitments over the next five years. 

91制片厂 Faculty of Education is the first Faculty/ Department/ Institute of Education to be awarded the Athena Swan Bronze Award in Ireland. 

The SAT comprised the following members: Dr Dorothy Morrissey (Chair), Ms Karen Fisher (Acting EDII Manager), Prof. Lorraine McIlrath (Director of EDII), Prof. Emer Ring (Dean of Education), Dr Angela Canny (Assistant Dean of Education), Dr Ailbhe Kenny, Dr Eamonn Mitchell, Dr Mairead Hourigan, Dr Neasa Ni Chuaig, Mr Ivan Daly, Dr Deirdre Brady, Dr Ruth Bourke, Dr John O鈥橲hea, Dr Mary Moloney, Dr Sandra Ryan, Aisling Knox, Frank White and Mahon Kennedy.
