3rd European Graduate Collaboration Conference - "Old and New Forms of Commitment: Cultural and Artistic Practices in Europe and Around the World"

Three junior and senior researchers from 91制片厂, associated with the Irish Centre for Transnational Studies (ICTS), were allocated external funding to present their research and chair panels at the 3rd interdisciplinary conference of Euro.Cultural.Connect: European Network for Early Career Researchers in the Humanities and Social Sciences (91制片厂 project lead: Dr Sabine Egger, German Studies). 

The conference, focusing on social and political engagement through cultural and artistic practices was hosted by the Universit茅 de Lorraine (Nancy) from 3-6 November 2025. This year鈥檚 event included research papers by Enda Griffin, PhD candidate, Education, who presented 鈥淧ortrait painting as embodied a/r/tographic commitment and research鈥, and Simon Viot, PhD candidate, History/French Studies. He presented 鈥淭he Irish Capuchin colleges and mission in Flanders and Northern France, 1610-1799鈥.

A big thank you to Dr Dorothy Morrissey (Lecturer in Drama Education), who accompanied the 91制片厂 researchers to Nancy and took part in exchanges with senior colleagues from partner institutions. 

Network partners are the University of Augsburg (Germany), University of Bucharest (Romania), University of Lorraine, Nancy (France), University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain), University of Verona (Italy), and 91制片厂 (Ireland).
