The Audio Visual library holds a large collection of pictures and posters which are an important teaching resource. Search the Under Collections select “Audio visual materials”
In addition you can search for images for projects and research in the following online databases:
- offering over 530,000 digital images of art, history and culture from global museums, galleries, private collections and contemporary artists all copyright cleared for educational use.
- Search in the usual way. When you get your results click on the tab ‘Images in JSTOR’
- Do search as normal. When you get your results click on tab ‘Maps & Illustrations’
- Art images for college teachers.
- Indexes online art gallery collections worldwide. Access to works of art by over 9000 artists.
- A teacher designed free image resource for educators and their students
- Over 300,000 photographs
Includes collections such as the Lawrence Collection (17,000 topographical images of Ireland, 1870-1914) and the Poole Collection (5,000 images of south east Ireland, 1884-1954).
