Welcoming four new 91制片厂 International Student Ambassadors: Ph瓢啤ng Linh 膼峄搉g, Amara Yatassaye, Nadia Durakovic and Devis Wai脽 & Nele Dzienkowski (left to right). We鈥檙e delighted to introduce our new 91制片厂 International Student Ambassadors for this semester! The ambassadors play an important role in welcoming and supporting our international community, sharing their experiences, and helping new students feel at home at 91制片厂.
Each of them brings a unique perspective, story, and passion for connecting with others, and we can鈥檛 wait for you to get to know them. This semester, our ambassadors will be working alongside us to build community, share advice, and showcase what student life at 91制片厂 is all about. We鈥檙e so excited to work with them and see the incredible energy and ideas they bring to the team.
Now, let鈥檚 meet our new ambassadors!
Ph瓢啤ng Linh 膼峄搉g
My name is Linh Dong, but you can also call me Anne. I come from Vietnam, a beautiful country in Asia famous for its diverse cuisine. Food is something very close to my heart, and I truly believe it has the power to connect people. That鈥檚 why I am eager to introduce you to Vietnamese cuisine and to organise food workshops within the International Student Society where we can share our traditional dishes, stories, and cultural experiences with one another.
I am an English teacher, and this year I am beginning my journey in the MEd in Digital Leadership in Education at 91制片厂. Studying in Ireland has long been a dream of mine, not only because of the academic opportunities, but also because of the chance to explore the country鈥檚 breathtaking scenery. The Cliffs of Moher, which once appeared in Harry Potter, Ireland鈥檚 many castles, and the charm of Limerick itself are all places I am excited to discover.
When I applied to 91制片厂, I wrote that I want to promote Ireland鈥檚 image among my students and friends back in Vietnam, while also sharing the beauty of Vietnam with all of you here. I truly believe that Ireland is a 鈥渕ust-visit鈥 country, just as Vietnam is, and I hope that through my stories and experiences, you will come to see both countries in a new light.
As an International Student Ambassador, I am looking forward not only to guiding you through the wonders of Ireland, but also to creating meaningful experiences together. Hope to meet you all!
Amara Yatassaye
Amara Yatassaye Hello, my name is Amara Yatassaye and I come from Dijon, a historic city in eastern France. You may be familiar with my hometown: Dijon is one of the most famous cities for its Burgundy wine, mustard and magnificent medieval architecture. I have lived there since I was 10 years old.
I study political science and humanities at the Catholic University Centre of Burgundy (CUCDB).
I like to keep busy and always have something to do, so I never get bored. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading books on geopolitics and international relations, and organising or managing events.
In the future, I would like to do a master's degree in international relations. The main reason I joined the 91制片厂 is that I want to improve my English and maybe even start learning Gaelic. I am also looking forward to discovering the Irish landscape and culture, as Ireland is a beautiful country, and of course, meeting new people from all over the world.
Being an international ambassador is an opportunity for me to connect with people from all over and help them enjoy their time at 91制片厂.
Nadia Durakovic
Nadia Durakovic My name is Nadia Durakovic, and I am an Erasmus student from Germany. Back at my home university in Stuttgart, I am pursuing my bachelor鈥檚 degree in English and sociology. This autumn, I am looking forward to continuing the English part of my studies here in Limerick.
I am thrilled to get to know Ireland and its culture, history, and stunning landscape! I hope to meet some wonderful new people, and to get to know and represent the international community here at Mary. I am also excited to gain new academic perspectives, and to learn how you study in Ireland. Deciding to take the leap and study abroad has been exhilarating and scary at the same time. That is why I look forward to sharing my adventures with you on this blog and on social media, and to maybe help some of you feel less alone in this new experience.
Devis Wai脽 & Nele Dzienkowski
Devis Wai脽 & Nele Dzienkowski Hello fellow readers!
We are Devis and Nele from Gie脽en, Germany. We study at the same university and believe it or not, we never actually met each other before coming to Ireland. We kind of impulsively decided to create a joint Instagram Account to document our experiences and kind of do a digital diary sharing our life with family and friends at home, but also new international friends!
Nele Dzienkoswki
I study to be a secondary teacher in English and German. Luckily, I finished all my German classes already so I can focus on my English courses in Limerick. I specifically wanted to go to a country where the native language is English so I can improve my English and be that annoying teacher that will always tell their students about her time in Ireland. I love reading, analogue photography and hiking; the latter I intend on doing here excessively as Ireland's nature is my personal hiking Mekka! I look forward to making new memories here and am thrilled to let you be part of the journey.
Devis Wai脽
I study to be a secondary school teacher with the subjects Maths, English and Biology.
Besides being a teacher, I kind of am a wanna-be-influencer! I love to create vlogs or yap about anything interesting in life (interesting to me, I guess). In my free time, I love to meet up with friends, go to a pub or just play card games. I am kind of a nerd so anything anime or games related things are my speciality!
I鈥檓 looking forward to seeing the landscape, the cows living their best life and want to hold a baby lamb (I heard they are fluffy!). Also of course meeting locals and really grasp the idea of being an Irish person.
